OUR MISSION & HISTORY.
A group of community volunteers met monthly in the Belmont-Devilliers neighborhood.
Although they had a large group of volunteers ready to implement programs in the areas of education and services for senior citizens, funding was very limited. The group found out about two community programs that were bringing funding to the Belmont-DeVilliers neighborhood. Those groups were the Governor’s Front Porch Initiative and the City’s Weed and Seed Program.
The volunteer group realized both programs had goals and objectives that were similar to those of the volunteer group. Leadership in that group met with city and state officials to share their vision for the community. The group became The Pensacola Delta Enrichment Center.
WE RISE TO THE OCCASION.
